Privacy Policy
Effective date: [to be set before launch]
This Privacy Policy explains how Reneed ("Reneed", "we", "us"), developed and operated by an independent developer in India, collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use the Reneed app and this website. By using Reneed you agree to this policy.
What we collect
- Account information you provide: your phone number, an optional display name, and your password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Records you enter: your subscriptions and the deliveries, payments, prices and pauses you record against them.
- Device and diagnostic data needed to run the app reliably, such as app version, a notification token (if you enable reminders) and error logs.
We do not ask for your bank details, and Reneed does not process payments between you and your vendors.
How we use your data
- To provide the service - storing your records, calculating balances, and syncing across your devices.
- To send reminders and notifications you have opted into.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
- To respond to your support requests.
We process this data to provide the service you have asked for and, where required, on the basis of your consent (which you can withdraw at any time).
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us operate Reneed (for example hosting, push-notification delivery and error monitoring), under contracts that limit their use of it.
- People you choose to share with: if you share a subscription, its records are visible to the members you add.
- Authorities, where we are required to by law.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time - from within the app, or on the web at reneed.in/delete-account. Deletion is permanent. We may retain limited information for a short period where the law requires it.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. Your account can be protected with a biometric lock and one-time recovery codes, and passwords are never stored in plain text.
Your rights
Subject to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable law, you may access, correct or delete your personal data, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, use the in-app options or contact us below.
Children and young users
Reneed is intended for users aged 12 and over. If you are under 18, you may use Reneed only with the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian, who accepts our terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 12, and we do not use children's data for advertising or behavioural tracking.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the app or on this page, and the effective date above will be updated.
Contact and complaints
For any privacy question, request or complaint, email hello@reneed.in. We aim to acknowledge and resolve requests promptly and within the timelines required by applicable law.
